The Daily Mail website revealed that Taylor Swift's eighth album, titled Folklore, sold 1,300,000 copies in 24 hours. It was an album that won the admiration of fans and critics after its surprise release at midnight last Thursday.
The album included 16 songs, while the special edition includes an additional song entitled “The Licks”. In this record, Swift collaborated with the band “Bon Iver”, as well as with one of the founders of the band “The National”, Aaron Dessner, who produced or co-wrote 11 of the songs. Sixteen songs, and all the songs bore the signature of Swift herself, as she wrote them or co-wrote them, which is what she did in most of the songs on her previous records.
Swift's last CD was released at the end of August 2019, and was titled "Laver," and the singer's last six CDs topped the record sales chart in the United States.
